Black Queens player Princess Marfo trained at the SMAC pitch this summer. Marfo is a forward for Bay FC in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) and plays for the Ghana senior national women’s team, the Black Queens. During SMAC’s summer training, we had the opportunity to host Princess Marfo at the SMAC pitch.
SMAC pitch is a state-of-the-art facility able to provide an up-to-the-European-level venue for training and development. It’s no surprise that top players like Princess Marfo, Gideon Mensah, and others decide to train here during the summer break. We’re an exclusive facility preparing the best players for top-level competition, and we’re thrilled to have a player of Marfo’s caliber utilizing the SMAC pitch for her training needs.
Princess Marfo was part of the Black Queens team that won bronze at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco. This was Ghana’s first continental medal since 2016. We wish Princess Marfo the best of luck with Bay FC and the Black Queens as she continues to make her mark in women’s football.
