SMAC SC have officially kicked off preparations for the 2026/27 season, with the first-team squad reporting for duty at the SMAC Stadium.
Twenty-eight (28) players reported for training on Monday, 31st August 2026, on the opening day of pre-season. The players showed great commitment and eagerness to embrace the challenges that the new season brings.
The team is building on an impressive campaign last season. SMAC SC won the Accra East Division 3 Zone 4 League and qualified for the Middle League. The Middle League featured eight teams, with SMAC SC progressing to the final and finishing as runners-up, narrowly missing out on promotion to Division 2.
However, with the experience gained, the technical team and players are more determined than ever. The focus this pre-season is to put in extra effort as the team aims to secure promotion to Division 2 this season.
During the off-season break, the club also organized trials to recruit new players. Players who were successful during the trials have now joined the squad for pre-season training.
The club looks forward to an exciting and successful season ahead.
